Hand crossbow to Mother. Rolled 21 to hit. I assume it does, for 9 damage.

Still screaming, the dwarf's head kicks forward as if struck by an invisible blow from behind, and then upright again. Her screaming trails off as she reaches her hand up to her forehead and feels the crossbow bolt protruding. She looks at father in a quiet plea to help remove it; and just as quickly her eyes lose their focus as her head drops and her body slides down the seat of the wagon.

Father yells, “Mother!” and fumbles as he reaches underneath his seat for something...

if we're still standing next to them since I was actually conversing, I'll say "calm down this happens all the time" and cast dissonant whispers

I walk to the dead woman, drag her body down, pull the bolt from her body, and drag her to one of the Ankeg holes, I throw her down the hole.

I assume my party will slay the remaining meatbag.

Valak is still standing by the horses soothing them to try and keep them from bolting during the violence. He will take more drastic action if necessary. But he is trying to preserve the integrity of the horses and the wagon.

Father’s eyes roll back in his head, and blood pours from his nose and ears, and he slumps over.

The short sword he was trying to pull out clatters on the floor board of the wagon.

I repeat the body drop process with the male. I search him before throwing him in.

As Picket unloads the unfortunate corpses, I began to sort through the chests and boxes, looking for valuables or supplies. Slowly and thoroughly taking any dwarf clothing and making a pile to leave in the ankheg holes for the trolls to rifle through.
