We need to finish preparing for the fight with Cairn Linnorm and actually get it going before Dave dies of boredom. Here are the items I'm tracking that we should try to get more info on prior to our departure:
We know it's going to be bad, we know that whatever (including summons) lands the final blow gets the curse. The curse will do HP damage as well as some sort of reduction to ability score(s), and probably more. Trying to get a summon (or rando NPC) to land the killing blow will be difficult at best, and probably not a reliable plan. The choo choo tracks seem to be leading towards one of us eating the curse, and then having to cure it. We know a Wish will not cure it, so we need to find the cure.
Picket knows that there will be some sort of statues guarding the entrance (or somewhere in the area?) and that they looked not unlike alabaster guardians. We should focus on questions about their defenses, are they immune to spells of certain levels, are they susceptible to disintegration, etc.
Picket also knows that there will be some undead around. Not sure what, how many, if they are specifically there to guard the Linnorm, etc. Need to find out as much about them as possible.
Picket also knows (how does he know all these things anyway...surely it's unimportant) that there is an alternate way into the Linnorm's lair, which may well bypass the above two obstacles. We need to confirm the existence of this backdoor, and try to locate it.
Seems like the Death Curse is the most important thing to figure out, followed by the alternate route, and then the guardians if the alt route won't bypass them.
So let's start throwing out commune/contact/divination questions!
